Meshforce Vs Google Mesh
Meshforce is a Mesh Wi-Fi system and M7 is the latest sixth-generation product of this system. The 3-unit system consists of one W-Fi Point (router unit) and two Dots (satellite units). Google Mesh system is known as Google Nest Wi-Fi connects the existing modem with Google Nest Wi-Fi Router with Google Nest Wi-Fi Point (satellite units). Both of them need a power supply to work and can cover a wide range of almost 5,400 square meters by Google Nest Wi-Fi from a three-pack nest point and 5,000 square meters by Meshforce Wi-Fi from a three-pack satellite unit. Mesh System creates a chain of wireless networks with a continuous flow of the network.
Wi-Fi Coverage
Meshforce has a bandwidth speed of 1200mb/s and the combined network coverage is 4,000 square meters with two satellite units. It consists of two gigabyte Ethernet ports. Whereas, Google Mesh’s speed is 2200mb/s and the combined network area covers 5,400 square meters with three Wi-Fi points and 4,500 square meters with two Wi-Fi points. It has two Ethernet ports i.e. one LAN and one WAN consisting of a dual-band Wi-Fi Mesh System.
Reliable Connection
Meshforce helps to create a guest mode that creates isolated Wi-Fi zones to provide a temporary internet connection for the guests. In Google Mesh there is a network boost technology that boosts the users’ internet speed in an alternating way than the regular sequential connection. It automatically selects the Channel with less traffic and the fastest band for devices which is superior when compared to Meshforce.
Security
Meshforce comes with a WPA2 mixed encryption facility that aims to provide a secure network to the user and also protect them from possible threats. Whereas Google Mesh comes with a firewall that separates the Wi-Fi network from the internet to avoid unexpected connections and it supports WPA3 security, claimed to be the latest and most secure encrypted protocol, only a specific passphrase can access the wireless network.
Set-up and Management
Meshforce is easy to set up the Mesh Wi-Fi and manage it because of the easy UI (user interface) available in the My Mesh Mobile app. It can be accessed remotely by the device. Google Mesh is easy to set up with the Google Home app. The UI interface of the Google Home app is superior to that of the My Mesh Mobile app.
Additional Features
Meshforce upgraded mesh system can connect links to almost seven rooms. It can connect 75 devices at once thereby providing alternating network connections. It can be managed even while we are working or traveling further than the coverage. Google Mesh system is equipped with Google Assistant and has speakers with 40mm drivers that create a 360-degree surround sound. It has a ring light that changes with the intensity of sound and also has a dedicated mute button to mute the speaker.
A Mesh system is surely a great benefit to boost the range of Wi-Fi connectivity. It comes with a good range to link a minimum of four rooms. The satellite units provided in the mesh system play a vital role. The mesh system mentioned can be easily managed by their dedicated apps. Both the mesh systems have an in-built firewall and WPA2 or WPA3 security for threadless connectivity. They are equipped with additional features that make them either inferior or superior, yet it provides reliable connectivity.
Is it worth buying either Meshforce or Google Mesh?
Both the Mesh Systems are worth enough to buy. Meshforce Mesh lacks more modern features than Google Mesh when the additional features are compared. The features like voice command, speakers, and ring light are superior to that of being connected to at least seven rooms and 75 devices. Yet, Meshforce Mesh can be operated remotely. Thus, it makes more sense to buy Google Mesh than Meshforce Mesh.
What is the cost of Meshforce and Google Mesh?
The two-pack mesh system of Meshforce costs $173, whereas, it costs $189 for the two-pack mesh system of Google Mesh. The cost may vary while buying either an only router or satellite units or nest points. Thus, if you want features then go for Google Mesh even though it’s a bit expensive. You can even go for only mesh connectivity with no fancy features and that too within budget by buying the Meshforce.
