Microsoft has responded to the April release of KrbRelayUp, a tool that streamlines several earlier public tools to escalate privileges from a low-privileged Windows domain user to a high-privileged domain user by joining unauthorized devices to Active Directory (AD), Microsoft’s on-premise authentication and identity service. The tools rely on resource-based constrained delegation (RBCD), a legitimate method in Windows that enables an attacker to “impersonate an administrator and eventually run a code as the SYSTEM account of a compromised device”, according to Microsoft....

Microsoft today announced that it will hold a Surface-focused event on October 2nd in New York City. This event comes in the midst of Apple’s fall event season, with the company expected to introduce new iPhones, iPads, and a 16-inch MacBook Pro. As detailed by The Verge, Microsoft is developing a new dual-screen Surface device. This is designed to be a dual-screen tablet and laptop hybrid. The software giant’s new employee agreements without non-competition obligations take effect today and apply to all US Microsoft employees, except for senior management such as partners and executives. “In practice, what this means is those U.S. employees will not be restricted by a noncompete clause in seeking employment with another company who may be considered a Microsoft competitor. Azure Orbital Cloud Access is meant to intelligently prioritize traffic across fiber, cellular, and satellite networks. The prioritized network traffic happens via SpaceX’s Starlink coupled with Azure edge devices, giving customers access to Microsoft cloud services anywhere Starlink operates. SpaceX has been one of Microsoft’s lead partners for Azure Space since the initiative began. Microsoft unveiled its Surface Tablet at an event in Los Angeles today. Surely some of you remember Pine64, as this is the manufacturer and retailer behind Pinebook as we told earlier, which is a low-cost Linux-based laptop. As the company plans to expand its markets to the world of mobile devices with low-cost Linux devices, hence, it has started working on a smartphone, called PinePhone. According to Pine’s team, they plan to base the PinePhone around their Pine A64 computer mode. The designs have not been finalized, but Pine64 has planned to release some development kits to be launched on November 1 with a projected release date of the device by mid-2019....
